Mercy Hill is a church with a desire to see the gospel transform everything: our lives, our homes, our world. The Bible tells us that the church is a people who have been changed by God’s gospel and are on God’s mission (2 Cor 5:18-21). It all starts with what God has done in Christ and we live shared lives in response to that. We are more than a bunch of individuals living separate lives, rather, we believe through Christ, God has made us a family (Eph 2:19).

The way we sum up how we approach life is this:

LEARN GOSPEL.  LOVE GOD.  RESPOND ACCORDINGLY.

We take our cues from the gospel on everything. It is our belief that what we most necessarily need is not more strategies to fight sin, not more creative methods and coping mechanisms to deal with life, but what we need is deeper understanding of God’s Gospel. When we see the Glory of God shown most clearly in the person of Jesus Christ, our hearts will be changed and we will live differently. Growing more in the knowledge of the gospel will (by God’s grace and through His Spirit) not only cause us to love Him more, but also love others more and make us compassionate missionaries; missionaries who not only have a message of good news, but a life that displays it.
