“Awake My Soul”

“Let Your Blood Plead For Me”

Responsive Reading: The Law and the Life

We were once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and we died. The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to us. For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived us and through it killed us.
(from Romans 7:9–11)
But we who were dead in our trespasses, God made alive together with Christ, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Christ.

(based on Colossians 2:13–15)

“All I Have Is Christ”

“Absent From Flesh”

“It Is Well With My Soul”

Responsive Reading: 1 Peter 2:4–6

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

For it stands in Scripture:

“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

“King of Saints”

Blessing for the Road: Jude 24–25

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Peace be with you.
